Sorin Mierlea , President of InfoCons Consumer Protection , Participates in the Meetings of the 37th ANEC General Assembly

Today, 12 June 2026, Sorin Mierlea , the President of InfoCons , is attending the 37th General Assembly of ANEC : The European consumer voice in standardization , taking place on 11–12 June 2026 in Brussels, Belgium.

InfoCons – European Consumer Protection Organization and Promoter of Consumer Programs and Strategies has represented Romania within ANEC – The European Consumer Voice in Standardisation since 2012, actively contributing to the promotion and support of Romanian consumers’ interests within European standardisation processes.

ANEC represents the voice of European consumers in the field of standardisation. The organisation advocates for the interests of European consumers in the development of technical standards, particularly those that support the implementation of European legislation and public policies.

In addition to contributing to the development of standards, ANEC is also involved in their implementation, focusing on areas such as market surveillance, regulatory enforcement, accreditation, and conformity assessment systems. ANEC also seeks to influence European legislation concerning products and services, especially where standards are referenced or play a significant role.
