Sorin Mierlea , President of InfoCons Consumer Protection , Attends the Nadia Gala – 50 Years Since the First Perfect 10.00
Sorin Mierlea, President of InfoCons Consumer Protection, is attending this evening the „Nadia” Gala, an event marking the 50th anniversary of the first perfect 10.00 score in Olympic gymnastics history. The event takes place at the Palace of Parliament in Bucharest, starting at 7:00 PM.
Organized by the Romanian Olympic and Sports Committee (COSR), the „Nadia” Gala represents the central event of the national program „The Nadia Year”, an initiative dedicated to celebrating an achievement that left a lasting mark on the history of world sport and brought Romania international recognition.
At just 14 years old, during the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal, Nadia Comăneci became the first gymnast in history to receive the perfect score of 10.00, setting a benchmark of excellence in international sport. Her performance redefined the standards of gymnastics and continues to inspire generations of athletes around the world.
Half a century after this historic moment, the perfect 10.00 remains a symbol of excellence, discipline, perseverance, and dedication—values that extend far beyond sport and continue to serve as a source of inspiration for society as a whole.
The official Gala, „Nadia Comăneci – 50 Years Since the First Perfect 10.00”, is part of a broader series of events organized throughout the year to celebrate Nadia Comăneci’s extraordinary contribution to the promotion of sport and to enhancing Romania’s image worldwide.
