Sorin Mierlea , President of InfoCons Consumer Protection , Attends the Reception Organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye on the Occasion of Victory Day

Sorin Mierlea, President of InfoCons, is attending today, 28 August 2026, the reception organized on the occasion of the Victory Day of the Republic of Türkiye, at the invitation of His Excellency Mr. Özgür Kıvanç Altan, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Romania, and Cpt. (N) Yavuz Alper Kara, Armed Forces and Naval Attaché.

The reception will take place starting at 19:00, in the garden of the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye, marking the celebration of Victory Day, one of the most important official holidays of the Republic of Türkiye.

The event will also be attended by the pilots of the Turkish Stars, the aerobatic demonstration team of the Turkish Air Force.

What Does Victory Day of the Republic of Türkiye Represent?

Victory Day is celebrated annually in the Republic of Türkiye on 30 August and commemorates the victory achieved in 1922 at the Battle of Dumlupınar, under the leadership of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, during the Turkish War of Independence.

The victory of 30 August 1922 represented a decisive moment in the struggle for independence and paved the way for the establishment of the Republic of Türkiye. The 30th of August is also associated with the Turkish Armed Forces and is marked through official ceremonies and events.
